As the construction project at Operation Kindness nears completion, we have some exciting updates for you!
As we’ve shared, we completed the Rees-Jones Foundation Medical Wing at the end of last year. And Bear’s Den was recently completed, which provides expanded, state-of-the-art housing for large dogs. Attached to Bear’s Den is a new hallway that expands our housing for cats and adds a new screened-in cat porch.
For the final stage of the project, we’re renovating the existing shelter, lobby, and adoption rooms. We’re also overhauling the entire “back yard” of the property to add enhanced landscaping, walking trails, and new off-leash play yards. Enhancements like these will improve the quality of life for the pets in our care. Our animals will have more comfortable housing and more access to the outdoors.
We expect construction to be completed in Fall 2020.
