Operation Kindness joins Clear the Shelters
Once again, Operation Kindness is excited to partner with NBC 5 and Telemundo 39 for the annual Clear the Shelters 2022 event!
Clear the Shelters
Clear the Shelters, a month-long event in August, aims to increase adoption rates for shelters across the country, providing homes to thousands of dogs and cats.
We will be waiving adoption fees on August 26-28 in celebration of the Clear the Shelters initiative!
Preparing for your visit
Our facility will be open each day from 11 AM to 6 PM. Adoption appointments are not required, however, we encourage visitors to fill out an adoption questionnaire online before visiting the shelter. This allows for faster service.
From there, interested adopters visit the shelter and the animal they’re interested in. Families can get to know available pets during meet and greets to find the right match. Our skilled adoption counselors can answer any questions that you have.
Prepare for your visit by browsing our adoption pages to see available animals. From age, gender and breed to personality descriptions! We’ll discuss further details, such as medical records, during the adoption process.
After adopting
After adoption, we continue to support adopters with resources and assistance.
Training and behavior resources are available online for both dogs and cats. You can also call or email our behavior team with any questions so that we can help support a smooth transition for your pet into their new home.
If your pet becomes sick after adoption, we’ll provide medical care at no cost for up to 2 weeks.
