Stop by Galleria Dallas this holiday season and find your newest furry family member! Operation Kindness will be bringing adoptable cats and dogs to the shopping center for our annual pop-up adoption event.
From Nov. 24 to Dec. 24, Operation Kindness will host a pet adoption center at Galleria Dallas, located at 13350 Dallas Pkwy on Level 1, near Banana Republic and SNOWDAY. Adoptable pets will be available Thursdays through Saturdays from 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. and Sundays from 12:00-6:00 P.M. The adoption center will be open on Christmas Eve, December 24, from 10:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.
“The holidays are a special time to add a pet to the family. We’re so grateful to Galleria Dallas for inviting us to be a part of their holiday programming,” said Ed Jamison, CEO of Operation Kindness. “Galleria Dallas is the best place to shop and spend time during the holidays, and it means so much to be there introducing our lovable animals ready for new homes.”
The shopping center will also feature Operation Kindness on its December Gallery Wall, which shines a spotlight on a different local nonprofit each month. The display, on Level 1 across from Apple, will let shoppers know about Operation Kindness’ mission and how to get involved.
Galleria Dallas is a unique shopping destination in Dallas and a popular place to visit for special holiday events. The shelter will have up to 12 dogs and cats available on-site at a time. Visitors can interact with the animals at the event and speak with staff and volunteers to learn more about each pet. Families interested in adoption will be able to take their new pet home the same day in most cases. Our goal is to find loving homes for 200 animals through this special holiday adoption event.
“At last year’s Operation Kindness event at Galleria Dallas, I adopted my sweet kitten Dylan,” said Galleria Dallas General Manager Angie Freed. “We feel so fortunate to be able to lend a hand to this wonderful organization during this time of year. Watching the volunteers match people with pets is a joy.”
While the holiday event doesn’t begin until the 24th, adoptable pets at our shelter are always ready to find new loving homes. You can visit us at 3201 Earhart Drive in Carrollton every day from 11:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. Those interested in fostering can also check out our Winter Wagging Holiday Foster Program, which places animals scheduled for adoption at the Galleria with short-term fosters while they wait to become eligible!
