As we navigate this pandemic, Operation Kindness remains committed to helping homeless animals find safety, comfort, and ultimately – a loving home. We’re excited to announce that tele-adoption services will now be offered starting today. We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day!
From the comfort of their home, adopters may search our website for adoptable dogs and cats. Once they’ve found the pet they’re interested in, the adopter will complete an online questionnaire and schedule an adoption counseling phone call with a member of our team. During the call, we’ll go over the animal’s personality, behavior, and medical history. If it’s a match, the adoption will be completed over the phone.
Adopted pets will be picked up from our shelter curbside, following social distancing guidelines. Of course, staff members will be wearing a mask and gloves for safety and we ask that adopters wear a mask or face covering as well.
Though our adoption center remains temporarily closed, we look forward to placing pets for adoption through this new process.
Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we navigate these uncharted waters!
