Operation Kindness officially opened the doors of our new Lifesaving Partnerships Hub to the public on Thursday, June 6, 2024, with a special grand opening event. Members of the community were invited to come to our new location for a ribbon cutting, coffee and breakfast bites and tours of the facility.
Funded by a historic donation from the Rees-Jones Foundation, the Operation Kindness Lifesaving Partnerships Hub, located at 1771 Terre Colony Court in Dallas, was open to the public for a special grand opening event. Ed Jamison, CEO of Operation Kindness and Meredith Jones, Operation Kindness Chief Community Initiatives Officer, unveiled the new space and gave remarks on the vision we have for its use.
The new facility will offer much-needed veterinary support for partner rescue groups pulling animals from Dallas Animal Services (DAS), so more animals can leave Dallas Animal Services’ care, increasing its lifesaving rate. The space will also serve as a hub for interstate animal transport, the forensics partnership between Operation Kindness and Dallas and Operation Kindness’ pet food pantry.
Behind-the-scenes tours were offered of the new facility, including the building’s new medical area and surgery suite, Pet Food Pantry storage, and indoor kennels. Operation Kindness animals were on-site to welcome our guests and showcase the new space, designed to be the new home base for Operation Kindness’ Community Initiatives team which works across Texas.
