Our Work in Dallas County in 2024

Operation Kindness I Dallas County 2024 Impact Report

Operation Kindness works diligently to make the world a kinder place for animals and the people who love them. We are dedicated to serving animals in the City of Dallas and Dallas County and continue to benchmark our lifesaving work for dogs and cats.

2024 so far

From January 1 to August 30, 2024, Operation Kindness has remained Dallas Animal Service’s top transfer partner, with 24% of all dogs and cats transferred out of Dallas Animal Services going to Operation Kindness and 21% of all Operation Kindness animals originating from Dallas Animal Services.

During this time, our Community Initiatives team brought our services where they were needed most in Dallas County, from performing 4,583 services for Dallas shelter partners to hosting vaccine and microchip clinics for 3,182 animals across the county.

Our specialty veterinarian team, embedded in our Dallas shelter, provided forensic examinations and necropsies for 1,607 animals who were suspected victims of cruelty or neglect. This special endeavor for our organization helped us feel an even deeper connection to the animals in Dallas County.

As we grow, our commitment and service to Dallas remains paramount. Thanks to your support, we’re eager to finish the year strong and make 2024 our biggest year for animals yet. We couldn’t do it without you!
