Operation Kindness hosted our 17th annual Hope Gala at Gilley’s Dallas on Saturday, April 12, 2025. The one-night-only event included dinner, dancing, live music by the Intensity Band along with an auction to benefit our mission to create a kinder world for pets and the people that love them. Thanks to our generous supporters, the annual spring gala raised over $270,000 for our lifesaving work.
Hope Gala is a night of celebration that allows community members to share their passion for animals, learn about how supporters are helping animals in need and raise funds to save even more animal lives! The event also included a live auction with Cowboy Auctioneers, where attendees had the chance to bid on exclusive prizes like a Four Seasons Resort stay in Punta Mita, eight rounds of golf at TPC Sawgrass and much more. A grand raffle closed out the night, with the winner taking home VISA gift cards totaling $5,000.
While learning about the organization’s lifesaving programs and goals for 2025, guests enjoyed a three-course dinner of romaine Caesar salad, braised beef short rib and roasted chicken breast and cheesecake or cookies and cream parfaits. Attendees met cute, adoptable puppies and kittens at the pet adoption lounge and snapped photos to remember the evening at the gala’s photo lounge. Guests danced the night away as the Intensity Band performed live music.
Donations and funds from the gala provide crucial and lifesaving care for animals in need. The proceeds benefit our programs to provide adoption and foster care for vulnerable animals, affordable veterinary services for community pets, a pet food pantry and more.
“Not only is the Hope Gala a night to bring together passionate supporters of Operation Kindness, but it’s a night to help animals across Texas,” said Ed Jamison, the chief executive officer at Operation Kindness. “Last year, we helped over 46,000 animals through our programs, and we aim to assist even more pets thanks to the proceeds from Hope Gala that support our lifesaving work.”
