The first Thursday after Thanksgiving marks Celebrate Shelter Pets Day! This is a day to remember animals at the shelter and to share your own adoption stories. To celebrate the pets at Operation Kindness, we want you to meet some of our shelter residents who are still searching for a loving family to spend the holiday season with!

Kimchi

Meet Kimchi, a sweet and affectionate cat that loves being the center of attention! Kimchi is a huge foodie and enjoys trying different treats. In her free time, you can catch her lounging in Operation Kindness’ “catio” and bird watching on a windowsill. Kimchi is quick to warm up to new people and once she does, she isn’t shy to ask for pets and cuddles. She is a three-year-old female, domestic shorthair mix.

George

Known for his calm nature, George would make a perfect companion for anyone that enjoys having lazy days. While George loves relaxing and lounging around the house, he knows when it is time to play. His favorite activities include making new friends and running around the play yard at the shelter with his dog friends. George is 41 pounds, two-year-old male, mixed breed.

Misty

Meet Misty, a curious and energetic cat who is always up for a little adventure! Misty loves zooming around the house and pretending to hunt after feather toys. She is a playful cat that enjoys exploring every nook and cranny of her surroundings. Besides playing, Misty is a huge fan of treats and people. When she knows treats are involved, Misty is quick to learn and perform tricks to be rewarded with food. She is a two-year-old female, Domestic Shorthair mix.

Peanut Butter

With a wagging tail and bright smile, Peanut Butter is sure to bring joy to your life! He loves spending time outside, whether it be going on a hike or just laying around on the grass outside. Living up to his name, he enjoys licking peanut butter out of a kong toy and snacking on peanut butter flavored treats. What Peanut Butter loves the most is humans; he loves bonding time and being pet by anyone passing him by. He is 40 pounds, two-year-old male, Mixed Breed.
