We are celebrating our incredible team at Operation Kindness! Their work is phenomenal and supports our efforts to be the leading lifesaving shelter in North Texas. This week, we’re happy to spotlight our veterinary techs for National Veterinary Technician Week.
Our vet techs work alongside our veterinarians to deliver a wide range of services to dogs and cats who aren’t quite ready for adoption. In a shelter environment, lifesaving starts with the medical team.
Some pets need a little extra care and attention before they’re ready to find a family. During that time, Operation Kindness’ staff provides them with checkups, surgery, and medicine to ensure they’re right on the track. National Veterinary Technician Week helps us spotlight our team’s endeavors and dedication to improving quality of life.
Currently, we have eight vet techs on staff along with 13 other incredible individuals in medical, including veterinarians and assistants. Together, they utilize our state-of-the-art onsite hospital that provides staff with all the tools they need to care for up to 140 pets.
Our team can provide dogs and cats with essential medical services, giving them a chance to heal from minor to severe conditions. We provide x-rays, ultrasounds, laser therapy, oxygen treatments, surgeries, heartworm treatments, and care for contagious illnesses like ringworm, parvo, distemper, FeLV, and more.
Operation Kindness is making a significant investment in our medical team to expand our ability to save more pets in need. Without their efforts, we wouldn’t be able to make a difference in the lives of so many animals each day.
As we continue to offer the best services to animals, we’re looking to add more individuals to our medical team. We have open positions for veterinary technicians for qualified individuals. Not only is it an environment full of wagging tails, but our staff is also fun, hardworking, and passionate about our mission.
