From Nov. 29 to Dec. 24, 2024, Operation Kindness hosted their annual pet adoption center at Galleria Dallas. This year, we adopted 227 animals – 82 cats and 145 dogs – into new families in time for the holiday season, with 40 adopted animals coming from Dallas Animal Services. Since beginning their partnership in 2013, Operation Kindness and Galleria Dallas have found home for 1,727 dogs and cats.
This year, community members who adopted from Operation Kindness’ Galleria Dallas adoption center received a free commemorative photo ornament to remember their first holiday season with their new pet in the family. Adopting families also received a free pass for their new family member to get its first photo with Santa at Galleria Dallas’ SNOWDAY DALLAS Santa Paw nights.
Galleria Dallas is also featured Operation Kindness on its December Gallery Wall, which shines a spotlight on a different local nonprofit each month. The display, on Level 1 across from Sephora, was designed by a group of students with the University of North Texas College of Visual Arts and Design. The playful design featured a selfie area for Galleria Dallas visitors and their pets as well as let shoppers know about Operation Kindness’ mission and how to get involved.
