The Operation Kindness behavior team offers in-person training workshops for pet parents to tackle common behavioral challenges with their pets. Workshops are offered at our main shelter in Carrollton and are open to everyone, regardless of where your pet was adopted.

Workshop: The First 48

Our workshop, The First 48, covers choosing and bringing home a new dog for your family. This workshop is perfect for those looking to add, or who have just added a 4 pawed member.

This workshop will cover:

How to chose the right dog for your family’s needs
Preparing to bring your dog home, including supplies and setting up your household
How to introduce your new dog to the family (both 2 and 4 legged)
Common behavior challenges and solutions

Fee is $20 per person. This workshop is for pet parents only, no dogs will be allowed to attend the class.

Workshop: Chewing, Peeing and Jumping - Oh My!

Join us for our workshop to address common behavior challenges such as chewing on items or jumping on guests. Learn how to tackle these challenges in our hour long workshop with a Q&A to follow!

This workshop will cover:

Potty training techniques
Trouble shooting destructive chewing
Destructive chewing prevention methods
Exploring why your dog jumps
How to prevent your dog from anxious or excited jumping
