Family Day Volunteering

Family Day volunteering is an interactive opportunity for families to participate in fulfilling volunteer duties with Operation Kindness Humane Society. During Family Day volunteer opportunities, volunteers will be provided a behind-the-scenes tour of the shelter, hands-on volunteer activities and end the day with animal interactions.
Family Days will be focused on duties from kennel care support (dishes, laundry, sanitation), animal enrichment, adoption greeting and basic sanitation aid. All volunteer activities are non-animal handling. We recommend Family Days for children 7 years and older.
Family Days start at 9:00 A.M. and end at 2:00 P.M.

(Volunteers will break for a 45-minute lunch. Please bring a packed lunch.)

Cost is $35 per family of 4, each additional child participant is $10.

If you have any questions, please contact volunteers@operationkindness.org.

Junior Volunteer Night (13-18 years old)

Junior Volunteering offers a day of volunteer opportunities for individuals 13 to 18 years old. During the Junior Volunteering program, participants will embark on a behind-the-scenes shelter tour, engage in hands-on volunteer tasks, and conclude the day with animal interactions.

There is a non-refundable fee of $15 per person. Please note that teenagers between the ages of 13 and 15 are required to be accompanied by an adult, and a separate participation fee and form is required for both teens and adults.
